Cannot Install Hardware, Access Is Denied

I have a problem with my wireless driver because I cannot install it. Something like "cannot install hardware, access is denied" came out. However, I have solved this problem by editing the registry and I will tell you how I solved this problem.

First of all, what you need to do is change the LogLevel value to 0000FFFF in your registry. This will enable your setupapi.log to log everything including your registry key. To do this, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Setup and find LogLevel, edit its value to hexadecimal 0000ffff.

After that, run the installation again and the same thing will happen. However, this time, the setupapi.log will log everything. Find it in C:/Windows and press CTRL+END to go to the end of the page. Find "Access is denied" and it should look something like this

Look the entry before "access is denied". Usually it will tell you where in the registry is the problem. In my case, the problem is with 'w70n51' entry in the registry.

What I did was I find the entry in my registry and changed its permission so I can modify it and I ran the installation again with no problems. However, if some of you cannot change it permission, what you should do is determine the owner from the 'owner' tab, and change it so your username will be the owner and click 'apply'. Then try to change the permission again.

This was what I did to solve this problem. If you have any problem such as this problems, try doing the same thing that I did.
