New To Web Hosting? Find The Best Web Hosting On The Net

Are you new to web hosting? Are you trying to find a good web hosting that gives you the best deals and the best price?

If you're, then you're almost the same with me when I first started to build my websites. It was very hard for me to find a good web hosting service that gives me what I want. I search endlessly on the Internet and read reviews from the satisfied and unsatisfied customers.

I joined web hosting forum just because I want to know which web hosting service is the best for me.

However, I found a website that can gives you all of these. They can provide you with reviews, web hosting packages, awards, and if you're new to web hosting, they even have articles that you can read to learn more.

The website is WebHostingGeeks.com

-> web hosting

In my opinion, this website is very good for those who are new to web hosting because it provides you everything that you need. I saw two Green Web Hosting packages there. So, for those who wants to save the Earth, I mean save the energy usage, this hosting type is for you.

It uses energy only from Green Energy type, I think it means that the energy source is from an environmentally friendly source. Not bad.

Here's an example of Yahoo Web Hosting Service:

You can read reviews from different customers and from there, you will know the good and the bad of a web hosting service.

Check it out.

Rootkit Removal - Anti-Rootkit Software List

One of my readers asked me to put anti-rootkit software list here. A rootkit is a malicious software that hide within your computer to take control over the operating system and act as administrator. That means a rootkit can create a backdoor on your computer for hackers.

Rootkit is hard to detect because it can hide itself well from monitoring programs such as anti-virus. Other than using anti-rootkit software, sometimes a rootkit can be detected if you run your scanner before your OS start. So, I did my research on anti-rootkit software and here's what I got:

1. Sophos Anti-Rootkit
http://www.sophos.com/products/free-tools/sophos-anti-rootkit.html

2. Avira Anti-Rootkit
http://www.free-av.com/en/tools/4/avira_antirootkit_tool.html

3. Rootkit Revealer
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/utilities/RootkitRevealer.mspx

4. McAfee Rootkit Detective
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download5447.html

5. AVG Anti-Rootkit ( Now included in AVG Internet Security 8.0)
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Antivirus/AVG-Anti-Rootkit.shtml

6. Panda Anti-Rootkit
http://www.download.com/Panda-Anti-Rootkit/3000-8022_4-10717196.html

7. GMER
http://www.gmer.net/files.php

These are some of the anti-rootkit software that you can use and all of it are free to download. Here's a good article and list of anti-rootkit freeware http://wiki.castlecops.com/Lists_of_freeware_antirootkit

How To Remove Malware

What is a malware? According to Wikipedia, malware is define as software designed to infiltrate or damage a computer system without the owner's informed consent. That means all the software that have this feature are considered as malware or commonly known as viruses, spyware, adware and many more.
Before you learn how to remove it, it's better for you to learn how you can get infected by the malware at the first place. Here I'll tell you two ways how you can get infected by the malware.

1. You visit websites with malicious intent. In order to prevent you from visiting this kind of websites, it's advisable that you install a site advisor such as McAfee SiteAdvisor. This way, it can warns you if you visit a malicious website and protect your computer from harm.

2. You don't have any firewall installed. Firewall is very important to monitor and block outgoing or incoming traffic and by installing one, it will be very hard for the malware to get into your computer and if it infected your computer, you can block it from sending information to the Internet.

Ok, so how to remove the malware from your computer?

1. Install an anti-virus. It's a must for you to have an anti-virus in your PC and if you don't have the money to buy it, use a free anti-virus. I strongly suggest you to download Avast! Anti-virus, AVG, or Avira Anti-virus.

Please make sure that you install one anti-virus only.

2. Install anti-spyware and anti-adware software as it will help you to deal with spyware and adware. If you have the money, go for paid software. But if you don't, try using Ad-Aware 2008 and Spybot Search and Destroy. Both are free.

Anti-spyware and anti-adware software are different with anti-virus. You can install more than one into your computer.

3. Find a good firewall to monitor the ingoing and outgoing traffic. You can download the Comodo Firewall Pro. In my opinion, this firewall is very good and easy to use.

4. Install site advisor such as McAfee Site Advisor so you will know which websites are harmful to your computer and which are not when you're surfing the Internet.

5. Update all the anti-spyware, anti-adware, anti-virus, site-advisor and firewall frequently to stay up-to-date. New malware are created every now and then and therefore it's important for you to update your anti-malware software.

These are the things that you can do to protect yourself from malware and the ways to remove it from your computer. In my opinion, the best tool is knowledge. So, learn everything you can and you can prevent yourself from getting infected by malware.
