Routine Check To Ensure Your PC Safety

Here's a question, "What should you do weekly in order to protect your PC from online threats?"

So, what should you do? Here's a few things that you can do:

Weekly routine check:

1. Update your antivirus definition ( This include your antispyware as well and other virus protection software)

2. Scan your computer for threats. ( Take a few minutes to scan your PC)

3. Check for your protection software updates. ( There are few updates every now and then, so check weekly to ensure you're being protected)

4. Check for newest threats. (Read for security news to know newest online threats. Visit websites such as McAfee or Symantec).

5. Clear your temporary files.

6. Defrag your PC. (Just to increase your PC speed)

7. Perform boot-time scan. ( There are threats that you cannot detect while in normal mode. Restart your PC and scan it during boot-up or in safe mode)

These are the steps that you can do weekly in order to protect yourself from online threats. If you cannot perform it everyday, maybe you can do it weekly. So, apply it today and choose to protect yourself.
