This month newsletter is on the way. I’ll try to publish it in PDF format, and will make it available for download for my subscribers at the end of this month. Most of the articles will be on freeware topic.

But creating newsletter in PDF format is not easy. Compare with the usual text-only newsletter, PDF format require a lot more job to be done. I need to design the header, images, formatting and a lot more. However, I just want to try creating my newsletter in PDF format and if the response is goo, I might continue publishing the newsletter that way. I’m targetting for 3-6 pages of content for the firs PDF issue.

The software I use is Scribus, which is a freeware and open source software. It’s a good software and it’s easy to design your newsletter layout and you can re-use the layout again and again. I never know about this software until recently when I tried to create my newsletter. Suitable with this month theme, Scribus make an excellent example to what freeware can do.

I recommend this software for those who want to create their own newsletter or magazine. It’s easy to use, has a lot of functions and best of all, it’s free. So check it out today and start your own magazine publishing right from your own desktop.
