Latency and Online Gaming - How To Lower Your Latency

Latency plays a big part when it comes to online gaming. The lower the latency, the better.

So, what is latency?

According to Wikipedia, latency is a

Time delay between the moment something is initiated, and the moment one of its effects begins or becomes detectable

This is the general meaning. In computer however, the meaning is

Where the computer freezes and then continues some time later when an action is performed

When playing online games, latency plays an important part because it will disrupt the gameplay when playing at high latency.

So, how you can reduce the latency?

There are lots of websites offering this kind of service. One of it is Gamepath, which you can visit at http://www.gamepath.com and another one is http://www.lowergameping.com .

These two websites can reduce the gaming latency by using some kind of algorithm. I've read about it once on how to do it. You can actually do it on your computer. But, to reduce the headache, it's better to use the service offered by these two websites.

I personally use Gamepath.com and recommended to me by a friend. So far I think the service is satisfactory. I've no complaints....for the moment. Try it yourself and share with me your story.
